Warwickshire Ladies are National Champions!

Congratulations to our ladies team who have won the inter county championships this month, held at Wolverhampton Lawn Tennis and Squash Club. Following on from their 4th place finish in 2022, they boasted a strong line up for this years’ event.

Buckinghamshire were the opponents in the first match, a 4-1 win taking the team through to the semi-finals. Another 4-1 victory, this time against second seeds Gloucestershire, set up a final against top seeds South East Wales. Another strong performance rounded off the weekend in style as they claimed the title.

The men’s team were also in action as they looked to defend the title won in Nottingham last year. As top seeds they received a bye in round one, facing a rematch of last years semi-final against Sussex in this years’ last four. A tight 3-2 win set up a final with Kent. Unfortunately they lost out in a very close final 3-2, congratulations to Kent.
